Another season of hits and misses, replete with some between-points hijinks. These five in-the-moment and/or artfully planned instances of racquet abuses aren't to be celebrated by any means, rather appreciated, in a bit of a twisted way, for the passion behind them. See No. 5 here.

Vasek Pospisil

Vasek Pospisil, alongside 2018 retiree Daniel Nestor, in Davis Cup doubles action against Croats Marin Cilic and Ivan Dodig. Team Canada held  a two-sets-and-a-break lead before dropping a 2-6, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5, 6-2 decision. Extra points for the acrobatic quadruple (maybe quintuple) axel that this poor racquet landed in the red clay.
