Muguruza cheers on the Lakers in Los Angeles

The brief offseason is a time for vacation, extra training and for fun. Garbine Muruguza recently embraced her free time and headed to Staples Center in Los Angeles to see the Lakers take on the Heat.

The Spaniard was all smiles while near court side for the game (and yes, the Lakers did win). Muguruza was dealing with a bit of jet lag after flying to the west coast.

Muguruza is looking for a good start to the new year after having a shaky 2018 season. Despite winning Monterrey and reaching the semifinals of the French Open, the world No. 18 couldn't get past the second round in the other Grand Slams, something that hasn't happened since 2013. She also only reached one final, in Doha.
