Back in 2017, the inaugural Laver Cup saw the marquee doubles pairing of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal come together iconically to defeat Jack Sock and Sam Querrey in a super tiebreak.

This year, fans got Federer and Novak Djokovic, which was definitely special, but the result wasn't quite as polished, especially on this Djokovic forehand:

After the butt ball, Team World's Sock and Kevin Anderson were the ones to pull off the close win, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 10-6.

But Team Europe's singles dominance kept the squad ahead, and the blue team went on to win the Laver Cup for the second year in a row.

Djokovic, as great a player as he is, might have a hard time finding a doubles partner for the Geneva Laver Cup in 2019.
