Elena Vesnina introduced a new member of the WTA extended family after giving birth to a daughter last week.

“When You took your first breathe it took Ours away,” the Russian wrote. “It’s the happiest day of our lives. Daughter, we’ve been waiting for you.”

The 32-year-old got married to Pavel Tabuntsov in 2015 and announced her pregnancy in October. She last competed at Roland Garros, where she and Ekaterina Makarova clinched the No. 1 doubles ranking despite not partnering together. Vesnina holds three career singles titles, including Indian Wells, and 19 doubles titles, including a gold medal in Rio.

Vesnina and revealed she named her daughter Elizabeth.

Vesnina isn’t the only player who has recently been on maternity leave. Martina Hingis and Alla Kudryavtseva are also expected to give birth soon.
