The five-time Grand Slam champion has dived into plenty of off-court ventures including her own company Sugarpova, which feels like it's announcing new products every week. Her other business projects include investments in Ultimate Fighting Championship, Supergoop and the app Charly, as well as a partnership with the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and most recently, with architect Dan Mei to design hotel gyms.

When she was sitting out a 15-month drug suspension, Sharapova dived even further into her Sugarpova business. Now it's sold in 22 countries and sells a dozen products.

"I think she’ll be a better businesswoman than she is a tennis player," said Max Eisenbud, her agent since she was 11. "She’s amazingly competitive.”

Sharapova finished the 2018 season playing just 11 events due to a number of injures. Her best results was the semifinals in Shenzhen and Rome, and she'll start 2019 ranked No. 29.
