Serena Williams put together an excellent year in 2018, coming back from a life-threatening childbirth to reach two Grand Slam finals and continue to inspire the world.

Now, as the season winds down, the awards recognizing Williams' accomplishments are starting to pour in.

Most notably, she was named GQ's 2018 Woman of the Year, for which she was given a Virgil Abloh cover collaboration, and was featured in a cover story by Jeanne Marie Laskas, which will come out on Thursday.

And, on Wednesday, noted tennis fan Anna Wintour presented Serena with the Adweek Brand Visionary Award.

Williams, the WTA's 2018 Comeback Player of the Year, is ranked No. 16 in the world, with relatively few points to defend in the first half of 2019.
