The younger tennis generation takes another step to becoming tennis greats. Karen Khachanov stunned Novak Djokovic in the final of the Paris ATP Masters, 7-5, 6-4 to earn his biggest career title.

The 22-year-old denied Djokovic his record-tying 33rd ATP Masters title, defeating three other Top-10 players on the way to the title: Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev and John Isner. This is the first time a Russian has won the tournament since Nikolay Davydekno in 2006.

Despite a disappointing loss for Djokovic, losing the title did not affect his newly-acquired No. 1 ranking. With Rafael Nadal pulling out of London, Djokovic gets to keep the top spot through the end of the year.

For Khachanov, it's a big trophy added to his growing collection, coming just a month after winning the Kremlin Cup in Moscow. This is his third title of the year and his fourth overall.
