Alla Kudryavtseva has announced that she is expecting her first child.

"We are expecting an addition to our new family. We couldn't be happier," she wrote on social media.

The 30-year-old Russian joins expecting WTA mothers Elena Vesnina and Martina Hingis and indicated that her baby is due in December.

She married her husband, Dan, in September, nearly a year after getting engaged at Lake Como.

Kudryavtseva, who has been off the tour since Wimbledon, is ranked in the 600s in singles but still in the Top 100 in doubles. She had a career-high ranking of No. 56 in singles back in 2010, but has been as high as No. 15 in doubles.

The announcement did not say whether she plans to return to tour.
