The WTA Finals in Singapore is giving fans a lot of new insight into the inner workings of life on tour. The coaches have been more front and center than ever, so host Blair Henley flipped the script and asked a few of them what they've learned from their players.

"She’s taught me how to hit a drop shot that’s for sure," said Andrew Bettles, the coach of Elina Svitolina. Bettles is a 25-year-old former British player that's been working with the Ukrainian since 2017.

"Definitely taught me to be a lot more patient than I used to," said Sascha Bajin, who works with US Open champion Naomi Osaka. He's previously worked with Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams.

Philippe Dehaes did not take the bait, insisting he does all the teaching, while Kiki Berten's coach Raemon Sluiter had a lengthy story to share about when Bertens nearly quit.

The funniest answer came from Rennae Stubbs, who's working with Karolina Pliskova.

"She’s taught me how to spend at the stores," Stubbs said. "She’s the all-time shopping expert."
