At 22 years old, Swedish player Elias Ymer is still learning the ropes of the tour. For example: Always silence your phone during an interview:

Ymer was in the midst of a sit-down interview with the ATP in Stockholm when he got a call from his mom.

"When Mimmi Ymer calls u better answer," he later wrote on Instagram.

On the court, Ymer did not fail to impress in front of the home crowd. He beat No. 67 Maximilian Marterer in three sets, with the help of this unconventional lob volley in the winning game:

He then fell in the second round to Jack Sock in three sets.

Ymer's ranking has crept up to No. 133 over the course of 2018. He reached a career high of No. 105 after qualifying for the French Open and winning a round in the main draw.

Ymer's won nine career titles at the ATP Challenger and ITF Futures levels, with his latest coming in 2017.
