Watching Roger Federer play live is an experience that will make anyone want to try a one-handed backhand—including a young fan in Shanghai. The child was so inspired by what he was seeing that he just had to get some reps in from the stands:

But that's not the only way the fans in China have been showing their support for Federer. They've also been bringing banners, signs and flags, ranging in size from small to massive.

It isn't just Federer's backhand that's been wowing in Shanghai; he also made the highlight reel on Thursday with a crosscourt forehand and backhand volley:

For the second match in a row, Federer needed three sets to win. But he managed to get past Roberto Bautista Agut 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, before easing past Kei Nishikori on Friday to reach the semifinals.
