Sharapova's style game picks up speed

Her on-court results have left something to be desired–for herself more than anyone–now deep into this season, but Maria Sharapova's sense of style remains second to none.

Slipping into an amazing, beaded Ralph Lauren frock for the designer's 50th anniversary bash, Sharapova wowed the waitstaff and took in the runway show alongside another fashion magnate, Jason Wu.

Separately, Sharapova showed off another polished look at Vanity Fair's 2018 Best Dressed bash, which featured style giants such as Tommy Hilfiger and Christian Louboutin, among others. Her 3.1 Phillip Lim trench-dress and skyscraper heels revealed a sophistication unrivaled in tennis. (She and Federer are truly the GOAT pairing among active players as fashion goes.)

That particular look provided a perfect transition to autumn for Sharapova's style game. Regardless of her tournament showings the rest of the way, the fashion world knows she will see out 2018 with a sartorial bang.
