The second annual Laver Cup takes place this weekend in Chicago at the United Center. Starting on Friday, some of the biggest names in the men's game will face off in a unique team format.

The inaugural Laver Cup last year in Prague was a huge success. One of the event's leading supporters, Roger Federer, sealed the win for Team Europe by beating Team World's Nick Kyrgios.

The matches were high quality, and included a memorable doubles pairing of Federer with Rafael Nadal, but it was the team camaraderie and enthusiasm from the bench that stole the show.

It seems like no one is more excited for Round 2 than Federer.

Even though Nadal won't be playing this year...

...expect plenty more highlights from the loaded teams this weekend. Team Europe includes Federer, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, Kyle Edmund and David Goffin.

Team World's lineup includes John Isner, Kevin Anderson, Diego Schwartzman, Nick Kyrgios, Juan Martin del Potro and Jack Sock.

Adding to the drama is the historic rivalry between the captains. Europe is led by Bjorn Borg (and vice captain Thomas Enqvist) while World is captained by John McEnroe (and his brother Patrick).

The hype for the exhibition tournament has been building for months. Federer and some of the Laver Cup participants, including Rod Laver himself, enjoyed a trip to Chicago back in March.

There will be three singles matches and one doubles match per day with the winning team needing to reach 13 points. Each win will be worth one point on Friday, two points on Saturday, and three points on Sunday. If points are 12-all on Sunday, a doubles set will decide the champion.
