Scorching temperatures have been punishing players over most of Week 1 at US Open. It's gotten so bad that the tournament had to implement an extreme heat policy for the men for the first time in history.

Men are allowed a 10-minute break, if needed, between the third and fourth sets. Women get the same break between the second and third sets.

This new rule kicks in when heat advisories are issued, typically when temperatures feel like 100 degrees over two or more days. Most players are very excited about this new rules, especially Novak Djokovic who has taken a liking to it in a hilarious way.
