NEW YORK — One of the most exciting stories from Thursday's matches at the US Open was Roger Federer and Nick Kyrgios setting up a third-round clash.

Though Kyrgios often gets up to wild antics—and his second round was no different—he brings his best against the Swiss. Federer has a 2-1 record against the 23-year-old and eight of their nine sets against each other have gone to a tiebreaker. Saturday will be their first five-set match against each other.

On the women's side, Aryna Sabalenka has stood out. The young Belarusian is enjoying a breakout summer by reaching the semifinals in Cincinnati and winning her first WTA title in New Haven. She'll face Petra Kvitova next.

On the radar on Friday will be wildcard Stan Wawrinka continuing his comeback against a resurgent Milos Raonic.
