NEW YORK — Nike rolled out a touching commercial in time for the US Open in honor of Serena Williams. The sixty-second compilation, complete with flashbacks to her childhood, have moved both fans and the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

"I can't say I remember that practice actually, but I definitely remember a lot of those moments, a lot of that time," Williams said. "It's just a really special, special spot."

The 36-year-old returned to the US Open this week after missing out on the 2017 edition while pregnant with her first child.

She got off to a great start on Monday night over Magda Linette, and dismantled Carina Witthoeft on Wednesday night. On Friday, she'll take on her older sister Venus Williams, who has played an integral part in her career path from those courts in Compton to Arthur Ashe Stadium.

"I wouldn't say it's exciting. But it's definitely going to be a really tough match for me," Serena said. "Once again, it's early in the tournament. You know, it is what it is."
