Canadian youngster Denis Shapovalov showed his relaxed side during a rain delay at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati. The 19-year-old invited a ball boy tasked with holding the umbrella to sit down and chat while they waited out the downpour.

Shapovalov was taking a page out of Novak Djokovic's book. At the 2014 French Open, the Serbian sat side-by-side with a ball boy during a rain delay and they even had some beverages.

Ball boys and girls are usually working at all times, and rarely get to enjoy any real interaction with the players beyond communication over balls and towels. This was a special treat and a great memory for the lucky boy in Cincinnati.

Shapovalov scored wins over Frances Tiafoe and Kyle Edmund before dropping a two-set encounter to fellow Canadian Milos Raonic.
