Kelly Clarkson made a wine-inspired Facebook video promoting her headline performance at the US Open's Aug. 27 Opening Night Ceremony, which will celebrate the tournament's 50th anniversary.

Additionally, Clarkson jokingly announced the beginning of her professional-tennis career. "Sloane Stephens, [I'm] coming for you," she said while pointing a badminton racquet at the camera.

Clarkson also took a tongue-in-cheek shot at six-time champion Serena Williams: "Serena, I'm sorry. I'm probably gonna beat you while singing," she said.

The pop star backpedaled later in the video, saying, "I'm totally scared of you—I'm just kidding. You are a beast. I think you're amazing."

"Anyway, I'm very excited I'm gonna be performing," Clarkson said. "It's a set." It's, like, not a show, but its a set."

Past performers at the ceremony have included Shania Twain, Phil Collins and Lenny Kravitz.

Main-draw play at the US Open goes from Aug. 27 to Sept. 9.
