The two-time Grand Slam champion travelled to the Bay Area with her one-and-a-half year old son, Leo, for her first tournament in the U.S. this summer.

The Belarusian was presented with a cake from the San Jose staff. It tasted as good as it looks.

Azarenka’s not too far from her residence in Los Angeles, so she's feeling right at home at the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic. The WTA 500 event was played in Stanford previously.

On Monday night, Azarenka showed her trademark fight and grit to battle past fellow mother Kateryna Bondarenko in a tight three-set affair.

Next up, she had a blockbuster night match on Wednesday against top seed Garbine Muguruza, but the top seed withdrew with an arm injury. That gave lucky loser Anna Blinkova a chance, but Azarenka dismissed her cooly, 6-1, 6-0.

Azarenka takes on unseeded Danielle Collins for a spot in the semifinals. It's her second quarterfinal since her comeback after making the semifinals in Miami.
