The brothers were guests of the local baseball team, the Newport Gulls, last night and got to take part in the time-honored tradition of throwing out the first pitch. Christian was on the mound, with Ryan playing the role of catcher.

The Gulls would go on to eke out a win against the Plymouth Pilgrims 10-9. The fortunes were mixed for the Harrisons when they took the court on Tuesday as Ryan, the tournament’s No. 5 seed, had to retire in the second set against 2013 champion Nicolas Mahut.

Christian, who just fought through the qualifying rounds at Wimbledon, posted his first ATP main-draw match win in nearly five years with a three-set victory over Alex Bolt. He’ll face fellow American and No. 3 seed Steve Johnson in the second round.
