When someone wins their first title, whether it's on the ATP Challenger or ATP World Tour, they remember it forever. Pedro Martinez, a 21-year-old from Spain, won his first career title after five years on tour.

After defeating Corentin Moutet in Bastad, 7-6 (5), 6-4, Martinez has hit a career-high ranking of 190. The Spaniard didn't drop a set all week.

When he showed up for the tournament, Martinez wasn't thinking he was going to win.

"When I came into the tournament, I wasn't thinking I was going to win, but after each match I was getting more confident," he said.

Unfortunately, he didn't bring that confidence to the Swedish Open (also in Bastad), as he lost in the first round of qualifying.
