Drake made some Serena Williams fans a little nervous on Tuesday by showing up to her quarterfinal match at Wimbledon.

This was because the last time he was spotted watching her play, Williams lost in the semifinals of the 2015 US Open, just two wins away from completing the calendar-year Grand Slam.

To make the potential bad omen even scarier, the 2015 loss was to Roberta Vinci, an Italian, and Williams this week was facing Italy’s Camila Giorgi.

Giorgi even won the first set against the seven-time Wimbledon champion, putting Williams one set away from being sent home.

But, to the relief of Rena's Army, Williams came back to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, making the semifinals of just her second Slam back from maternity leave.

Williams herself wasn't fazed by the whole ordeal, or at least she didn't show it in press.

"It feels like tennis is becoming part of pop culture," she said of Drake's appearance. "That's what I love about it."

In her quest for a 24th Grand Slam title, Williams will play world No. 13 Julia Goerges in the semifinals on Thursday.
