After two months of dominance by Rafael Nadal, it took Roger Federer only one week to steal back the spotlight.

The greatest man on grass retook the No. 1 spot and won his 98th career title in Stuttgart last week, preparing himself to possibly get his 99th and 100th in Halle and at Wimbledon.

Federer didn't even need to win the tournament to become the tour's top player; he secured the necessary points in the semifinals by beating Nick Kyrgios in a three-set thriller.

He was then honored with a tennis-ball portrait and a bunch of 1 balloons.

For good measure, Federer won the final as well, defeating Milos Raonic in straight sets.

His next stop is Halle, Germany, where he'll look to defend his title and win the tournament for an astonishing 10th time.

He starts by playing Aljaz Bedene on Tuesday.
