Aleksandra Krunic, the 25-year-old from Serbia, had a lot to live up to after coming back from a set down against Coco Vandeweghe in the semifinals of 's-Hertogenbosch. With that improbable win, which included saving a match point, Krunic made it to her third career WTA final.

After trading two tight sets on Sunday, Krunic outlasted Kirsten Flipkens, 6-7 (0), 7-5, 6-1 for her second WTA crown. Last year, she won a $125,000 in Bol and reached the final in Guangzhou.

Krunic has risen to a career-high ranking of No. 39. She won't have a lot of time to celebrate. She has a tough first-round challenge at the Mallorca Open, where she will face Victoria Azarenka.
