Defending French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko starred in a bizarre commercial for the Latvian airline AirBaltic, in which she used an airplane as a ball machine.

This was apparently to illustrate, by Ostapenko missing a ball, that no one, not even the Roland Garros winner, can beat the airline's 90.1 percent punctuality rate.

Regardless, Ostapenko was still able to win the 2017 French Open final over Simona Halep while making 54 unforced errors, so the parallels between tennis and commercial aviation aren't absolute.

The 20-year-old has gone 3-3 on clay this year, leaving the role of Roland Garros favorite wide open.
