Petra Kvitova is having a stellar 2018 season so far. The Czech won titles in St. Petersburg, Doha, and Prague before capturing her third Madrid title. With the victory, she becomes the first woman to win the tournament three times.

Her opponent in the final, Kiki Bertens, didn't make it easy for the world No. 8. It took almost three hours for Kvitova to finally take down the Dutch player, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-3, but Kvitova held her nerve to extend her winning streak to 11 matches.

Unfortunately, Kvitova dropped out of Rome soon after, where she would have faced Johanna Konta.
