With incredible effort like that, Petra Kvitova has found herself in the Madrid final. The two-time Wimbledon champion may think she's not great on clay but her results this week are proving that her time of dirt prowess has arrived.

Benefitting from the faster clay surface and higher elevation, Kvitova has blasted to the championship round with straight sets wins over both Daria Kastakina and Karolina Pliskova. Friday marked her tenth straight win after picking up the title in Prague in front of her home crowd.

Her last obstacle this week will be Charleston champion Kiki Bertens, who has scored impressive wins over Caroline Wozniacki, Maria Sharapova and Caroline Garcia.

Though the world No. 10-ranked Kvitova may downplay her aptitude for clay, she has won Madrid before, back in 2011. That was the same year she went on to win her first Wimbledon title.
