The Russian joins a group of players on tour having already attempted the blindfold serve challenge, including Jelena Ostapenko.

Vesnina made only one serve near the service box, but was overall pretty happy with her performance.

The world No. 43 received no favors with her draw in Madrid, falling to No. 6-seeded Karolina Pliskova in the first round. In doubles, Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova are the top seeds.
