Maria Sharapova hasn't had the greatest season so far, suffering three straight first-round losses (Doha, Indian Wells and Stuttgart) and falling out of the Top 50 in late April. However, it appears that the 31-year-old may be finding her way back into the swing of things at the Madrid Masters.

Playing against Irina-Camelia Begu, the Russian won a heated first set, 7-5, but seemingly flipped a switch and came out on fire for the second set, securing 19 straight points. From 1-1, she ran Begu ragged, securing a 40-love lead at 5-1 by the end of her barrage.

Sharapova will face Kristina Mladenovic in the round of 16. Incredibly, she didn't know about the streak until after her win over Begu, and then had some laughs about it.
