Kristina Mladenovic and her driver in Madrid got a fright when cops pulled them over, but it wasn't what it seemed. The local authorities recognized the world No. 22 and just wanted a photo.

The Frenchwoman complied, sporting a broad smile between two happy cops. Since cracking the Top 10 last year, her fame has grown exponentially, but her ranking has taken some hits since. She's 1-4 on the WTA tour since March.

She's defending a ton of points next week at the Premier Mandatory in Madrid, having reached the final last year. "A pleasure to be back in Madrid," Mladenovic said in her Twitter post.
