The media train for the impending Being Serena docu-series rolls on, and thus Serena Williams seated herself beside Jimmy Fallon this week.

Come for the easily excited host fawning over the GMOAT, stay for Serena's gut-splitting story of how she and husband Alexis Ohanian – "this big, tall guy walks in, kind of frumpy" – first met.

The pair stood up a healthy competitive segment after the otherwise perfunctory interview, with Fallon challenging the 23-time major singles champ to – what else? – an ax-throwing competition, replete with Questlove and the rest of The Roots providing a proper soundtrack. It may be that it's not drastically different from serving tennis balls, which Serena does exceptionally well.

Final count: Fallon 10, Williams 5. Even so, Serena probably murdered the target about seven times over three ax tosses, based on the impacts, and next has her sights set on slaying some Nielsen ratings.
