Another day, another dominant clay performance from Rafael Nadal.
The Spaniard won his 11th Monte Carlo crown on Sunday, defeating Kei Nishikori, 6-3, 6-2. The King of Clay did not drop a set all week long.
The first set looked like it was going to be a battle with Nishikori getting an early break, but things quickly turned around for the 31-year-old Spaniard.
With the Monte Carlo title, Nadal managed to break numerous records, including:
Most ATP Masters 1000 titles (31)
Most titles at one event (11)
Most outdoor titles won (74)
He also tied Roger Federer for the most consecutive number of seasons winning an ATP title, at 15.
It is only the beginning of the clay season with Nadal seeking his 11th title in Barcelona this week.
