Becker won six Grand Slams during his career (and 49 total ATP titles), reaching No. 1 in the world for the first time in 1991. Since retiring in 1999, the German has worked as a commentator, TV host and coach (most notably working with Novak Djokovic for three years).

This July in Newport, R.I., Michael Stitch will become the sixth German to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
