Nick Kyrgios is usually a ton of fun on Instagram, but he had to make an exception to share some disappointing news. Due to his ongoing elbow injury, the world No. 25 is back home in Australia as the clay-court season continues in Monte Carlo.

His diagnosis is posterior impingement and ulnar nerve irritation, and doctors suggest he stops playing through it. He's also had a corticosteroid injection. It's unclear what other tournaments he will miss, including Roland Garros which starts on May 27.

Injuries are part of the sport, particularly lately on the men's side, but it's a double shame for Krygios as he's been having a promising season. He won the title in Brisbane, and reached the fourth round of the Australian Open and Miami. His last event was a quarterfinal showing in Houston.
