The winner of that popcorn match won't have it easier in the quarterfinals, where it's highly likely that world No. 1 Rafael Nadal will await him.

Nadal blew through his first ATP win since January over Aljaz Bedene, 6-1, 6-3 on Wednesday. The 31-year-old is keeping his goals in Monte Carlo simple—despite his 10 titles—by just wanting to complete the tournament without retiring.
