The United States Davis Cup team breezed into the semifinals with a 4-0 win over Belgium in Nashville, Tenn. It was a one-sided fight for the Americans as they lost only two sets across four matches.

John Isner, who won the Miami Open less than a week prior, won his opening singles rubber over Joris De Loore. The atmosphere at Belmont University was electric:

Sam Querrey put the red, white and blue up 2-0 with a straight-sets win over Ruben Bemelmans. Belgium was playing without their usual heroes, David Goffin and Steve Darcis.

On Saturday, Sock teamed up with Ryan Harrison to take out Sander Gille and Joran Vliegan, sealing the semifinal berth for Team USA.

Croatia had a more difficult time against Kazakhstan, winning by a 3-1 score thanks to two points from Marin Cilic's racquet. Spain squeaked by 3-2 after two wild five-set matches, buoyed by Rafael Nadal setting a Davis Cup record with 24 straight match wins. Defending champion France recorded their first victory on Italian soil in 91 years, 3-1.

On September 14-16, the U.S. will travel to play in Croatia, while France will host Spain.

On April 21, the women's U.S. team attempt to reach their second straight Fed Cup final. Led by 2017 hero CoCo Vandeweghe, the team will play on indoor clay in Aix-en-Provence against France.
