Keys, Konta and more read out positive tweets

Tennis players all too often find themselves of the receiving end of social-media messages that are abusive, threatening and hateful.

But, in a refreshing change of pace, Volvo Car Open players Madison Keys, Johanna Konta, Julia Goerges and Caroline Garcia called attention to the "positive tweets" by reading them out loud.

And the players had some warm messages in return.

"I love meeting Madisons out there. We all gotta stick together," Keys said of a young fan who shared her name.

In another example of how social can be uplifting, a slew of stars took to Snapchat to make silly Easter videos.

Keys, who's taken female empowerment and the fight against bullying up as a personal cause, fell just short of making the final in Charleston, losing in the semifinals in a third-set tiebreak to Goerges.
