Another player not quite in love with the clay, Madison Keys said she’s just trying to find the right balance on the dirt with her explosive power game.

There was time for some fun as well as defending champion Daria Kasatkina sampled some Southern favorites with new Tennis Channel host Rogers.

Kasatkina began her title defence with a hard-fought three-set win over Christina McHale on Tuesday while the rest of the top seeds begin their Charleston campaigns on Wednesday.
