No. 7 seed Madison Keys will be glad to be back on the green clay, where she reached the final in 2015.

Hometown favorite Shelby Rogers also attended, microphone in hand for Tennis Channel, while she's sidelined with a knee injury.

The Volvo Car Open main draw began on Monday with opening-round wins by the likes of seeded players Daria Gavrilova and Naomi Osaka.
