After 11 years on tour, John Isner has finally won a title above the ATP 250 level by winning his first ATP Masters 1000 in Miami. He is calling it the best moment of his career.

The American had to outlast several strong opponents throughout the tournament including Marin Cilic, Indian Wells champion Juan Martin del Potro and then Alexander Zverev in the final, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4.

“You can't replicate moments like this,” Isner said during the trophy ceremony. “I'm toward the latter part of my career; this is the best moment of my career.”

With the title, the 32-year-old moves back into the Top 10 for the first time since May 2014. He also returns to the position of highest-ranked American male.

Isner's win solidified a sweep by American players throughout the tournament, with Sloane Stephens winning the women's singles, Bob and Mike Bryan taking the men's doubles, and CoCo Vandeweghe winning with Australian Ashleigh Barty in the women's doubles.
