Kyrgios hangs out with Celtics' Gordon Hayward

Everyone knows that Nick Kyrgios is a huge Celtics fan, but maybe not everyone knows Gordon Hayward is a legit tennis player.

The Australian got a chance to hit some balls in front of the NBA forward during the Miami Open. Hayward grew up playing the sport before turning his focus on a professional basketball career.

The 22 year-old Aussie is a huge NBA basketball fan and longtime supporter of the Celtics. He was starstruck by the opportunity to meet one of his favorite athletes.

Hayward is still recovering from a serious ankle injury, but on a good day, would have been more than capable of hitting a few balls with Kyrgios. The fast friends invited members of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tennis team onto the practice court as well.

This past week, Kyrgios has spent a lot of time with the survivors of the February 14 school shooting in nearby Parkland, Fla.

Despite a strong start at the Miami Open, the world No. 20 would fall in the fourth round to Alexander Zverev on Tuesday night.
