Daria Gavrilova is in Florida for the Miami Open as the No. 26 seed, but she spent before her first match to go to a Miami Heat basketball game. While Gavrilova was in the audience, Alexander Zverev was down on the court hitting signed tennis balls into the crowd.

Gavrilova somehow managed to catch one of the souvenirs in a coincidence that seems more like divine tennis intervention. She subsequently freaked out and for good reason. She took that good luck into her opening-round win over Andrea Petkovic.
