Each year, the group of NextGen players gets more and more competitive and strong. At Indian Wells this week, players like Taylor Fritz, ranked No. 74, and Andrey Rublev, ranked No. 31, are hoping to make waves.

They took part in a public Q&A on this year's race to the NextGen ATP Finals and what makes Indian Wells so special.

Rublev said, "It's going to be really tough this year. Eight players, the deadline will be even higher than it was last year."

All of the young players were happy to be in the Californian desert this week.

"I love being in California in particular, especially Indian Wells," Reilly Opelka said. "This is like every player's favorite tournament."

Opelka was knocked out by his pal Fritz in the first round, and Fritz then took out fellow Next Gen star, Andrey Rublev.
