A proposal happened before the quarterfinal match between Thiem a

The spotlight moved away from Dominic Thiem and Fernando Verdasco at the Rio Open before their quarterfinal match even started. Two tennis fans were too busy getting engaged to focus on the warm-up.

As the man got up from one knee to give his new bride-to-be a hug, the rest of the crowd were thoroughly enjoying the love in the air.

Even Thiem and Verdasco got into the romance as they clapped and smiled in celebration. The Spaniard just got married last year.

Verdasco would go on to get the upset, before falling to Diego Schwartzman in the final.
