"I think if more people saw [college tennis] in person they would really want to become a fan of the game because the matches are really exciting," Texas A&M men's coach Steve Denton said. "Once people watch and see it for themselves and experience it, they come back."

The match, part of the College MatchDay initiative, takes place on Saturday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fl.

"I'm sure they're excited. Who wouldn't want to be on TV and have their family and friends get to be able to see them?" Denton said about his No. 5-ranked team.

Denton played at the University of Texas before enjoying a stellar professional career that saw him reach No. 12 in singles and No. 2 in doubles (with two Australian Open singles final appearance and a doubles US Open crown).

"Obviously its a different kind of pressure as well," Denton added. "For those that are going to go on and play professional tennis you have to be able to deal with all that. All these types of things are a part of the process of learning how to play under more pressure while still playing your best. These are great opportunities for players to get to experience that."

The Aggies match against the No. 29-ranked Sooners begins at 10:30 a.m. Steve Weissman, Tracy Austin and Jimmy Arias will commentate the action on Tennis Channel.
