More than two decades since his passing in 1995, the ever-entrepreneurial Bobby Riggs (or his benefactors of choice) will make some more money via a tennis racquet.

So goes the auction site's entry for the piece: "After a career that included six major titles and a No. 1 ranking, Bobby Riggs spent the majority of his post-career promoting the game of tennis and himself."

That sounds about right, and it remains to be seen if Riggs' "battle" ax reins in even a fraction of the funds that Billie Jean King's racquet from the fetched. BJK's total: $125,000. Riggs' own sporting weapon was expected to enjoy a bid of $50,000 to $75,000 – notably half of King's final amount. At present, though, the current bid, among five to date on a minimum of $10,000, currently stands at $22,000.
