Roger Federer is in Rotterdam this week trying to become the oldest world No. 1 in history at the age of 36. But let's reel back the clock to 1999.

Then just 17, Federer was a rising star looking to find his place on the ATP Tour. With his bleached hair and shy grin, he told reporters a few things about himself. The most memorable part of the interview has to be who he thought was the "hottest babe." Pamela Anderson, are you hearing this?

"It was just a wonderful experience," Federer told the ATP. "I'll always consider Rotterdam as one of my favorite tournaments on the tour."

Federer is a two-time champion in the Dutch city. He's two matches away from the No. 1 ranking.
