On the eve of Rotterdam, 2014 champion Tomas Berdych looked back on his career with the ATP. Discussing his career firsts, the 32-year-old reveals everything from his first coach to the first prize money he earned and the first time he met his wife.

The Czech got off to a solid start at the ATP 500, with straight-set wins over Mischa Zverev and Viktor Troicki.

But as talk of firsts circled, Berdych shared news about a last. He officially put a close to his lengthy Davis Cup career.

Berdych has been part of two Davis Cup championship-winning teams across 13 years of playing for the Czech Republic. He last played the team event in 2016 when the Czechs lost in the first round to the Germans.
