It's official: Serena Williams is in Asheville, N.C. The new mom is making her competitive debut after 13 months away by representing the U.S. in the first round of Fed Cup against The Netherlands.

The 36-year-old last played Fed Cup in 2015 and boasts a perfect 13-0 singles record. She'll be joined by her older sister Venus, CoCo Vandeweghe and Lauren Davis.

Williams told her fans and followers that she's excited for the weekend:

It was recently announced that the 23-time Grand Slam champion has accepted a wildcard into the Miami Open in March. Before then, she'll play Tie Break Tens in New York City on March 5 and Indian Wells.
