MELBOURNE — Two top-seeded stars have kept their hopes of a maiden Grand Slam alive at the Australian Open.

Elina Svitolina, the No. 4 seed, is comfortably sitting in a wide-open section of the draw. She faces qualifier Denisa Allertova in her first-ever fourth round encounter Down Under. If she wins, the Ukrainian would face the winner of Petra Martic and Elise Mertens.

Meanwhile, Grigor Dimitrov passed a test in rising star Andrey Rublev. The No. 3 seed will look to raise his game another level against Nick Kyrgios on Sunday.
